Travel has come a long way since Graham Greene invented the character Jim Wormold in his 1958 novel, Our Man in Havana. Wormold was not a glamorous character at all – in fact he was a bit of a rabbit – but one thing you could really say for him was that he certainly knew his Havana; knew it well enough, in fact, to fool the world’s most powerful intelligence services.
It is that intimate knowledge of a city, town or region that we are determined to capture in Our Man In. We don’t have any Jim Wormold’s (although vacuum cleaner salesmen and secret agents are welcome to apply!), but we do have a network of “Women In” and “Men In” who know the difference between a good restaurant and a tourist trap, a great hotel as opposed to a big hotel and an exclusive club instead of just a popular nightspot. As a member to Our Man In, all of this information becomes available to you.
There is absolutely no charge to be a member of Our Man In. We’re creating a community of active, interesting people who want to help each other and seek out the truly local experience when they travel. I promise a very fun ride.
As this is a new concept, your feedback is always welcome, so please feel free to drop us a line at spymaster@ourmanin.net with your questions, critiques and recommendations. You can also take a look at our frequently asked questions by clicking here.
Sincerely,
Martin Miller
